My wife and I tried driving by Carter Mountain Orchard this Saturday. There was a nice jam of cars going both up and down the mountain, a big sign saying “Tickets sold out”.

Apparently, weekends are ticketed, so if you are trying to get up there before the end of the picking season, make sure to order ahead of time. However, if you go during the week then no ticket needed. 😉

The Art of Stone Carving

Ever wanted to learn stone carving with hand tools? Well now’s your chance.

Malleable Studios is holding a four week class in November, every Tuesday from 6pm - 8pm

It looks like a very neat opportunity and no experience is needed. You can find the more details on the class here.

P.S. The address for the studio does not seem to be posted anywhere on their website. However, I found elsewhere on the Internet that it is located at 1304 E Market Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
